How To Rent A Yacht For A Day?

All of our yachts can be booked for one whole day but subjected to availability. Just put up your request in our Enquiry Form and we will get back to you as fast as possible or through your agent of concierge.

Is there a limit on how much alcohol I can carry?

We do not limit you, however the captain has the authority to cease the trip if the passengers are carrying out activities that jeopardize the integrity of the boat and/or its occupants due to improper behavior, inconsistent or contrary to the service for which it was hired. If this happens, there will be NO REFUND for said charter. Being able to inform the corresponding authorities in case of illegal activities.

Are there any restrictions for minors?

Parents are responsible for strict supervision on board, at sea and on land. BIP Yacht Charters disclaims any liability related to their neglect. Boats are not rented to minors under 18 years of age, without the company of at least one adult.

What are my payment options?

It can be by bank transfer, PayPal, credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) or cash.

Can I bring my own food and drinks onboard?

Yes you may. We do not make any extra charge. Check with us for more information since in most cases we provide certain courtesies.

How about wine? Can I bring them onboard? Any corkage charge?

Yes you may. In fact we do not impose corkage charge. Consult us for more information.

What happen if it rains on the chartering day?

If it’s light rain we will still go ahead with the charter. But in case of rain with thunder before the charter, trip will be postponed for up to 30 minutes. If bad weather persists, guests will be able to reschedule at their convenience subject to availability. The reschedule date must be within 1 month from 1st booking; thereafter it will expire. No refunds for cancellations. In worst case, if it rains with thunder while you are in your trip, the captain has the final rights to cut short the chartering time for safety reasons. No postpone is allowed and no refund for unused hours in such case.

Can I choose my own chartering time?

Yes you may but subject to availability. This applies to extension of chartering hours too. Consult us for more information.

What facilities are available on board?

On board facilities vary depending on which yacht you are referring. You may refer to us to find out more. however, in all cases you can enjoy freely of the deck, kitchen area, living room and bathrooms.

Can I charge my mobile while aboard the yacht?

Definitely! We have ample power points on board our yachts for you and your guests.

Is there mobile phone coverage while onboard the yacht?

It depends on the signal coverage of your phone company. Basically you should still be able to use your mobile as long as we are inside the perimeter on Banderas Bay water.

Is there any age restriction to be onboard the yacht?

We do not impose any age restriction on board. However we recommend minors to be supervised by adults at all times for safety reason. Boats are not allowed to departure just with under age passengers, there must be at least one responsible adult.

Are pregnant ladies allowed on board?

We have no restriction for pregnant ladies to join us on board.

Are there life jackets on board?

Yes we do have. In fact this is required under local marine regulation for all registered boats and yachts. We count with enough life jackets for all passengers and crews onboard for emergency purpose.

Im worry that I may get sea-sick while on board. What should I do?

We recommend to bring along some sea-sickness medication as we do not provide this on the boat.

What happens if we arrive late?

The boat rental time starts at the time it was set up, whether or not the passengers are on board. If there is a late departure due to a passenger’s delay, the trip will be completed according to the remaining hours of the charter.

Can I pay at the end of the trip?

The cost of the charter must be fully covered before the departure, otherwise the trip will be canceled and the deposit will not be refunded.

Are the tips included for the crew?

No, it is suggested to bring cash so that you can tip the crew yourself (10% to 20% of the total cost of the trip is suggested).

Can I take my pet on the boat?

Pets are not accepted on board in most of our boats. Please check with your agent or concierge before making any reservations.

Can we smoke on the boat?

In every boat it is prohibited to smoke indoors including restrooms and staterooms, however in some cases it is permitted in the deck area. Please contact us for more details.

What is the deposit policy?

Deposits are required when booking a charter but they vary depending on the type of charter you select (from 30% to 50%) Customers are encouraged to review the deposit policy prior to booking. Please see our cancellation policy page for more details about deposits.

Do you guarantee fish?

We don’t guarantee but we will do everything within our power to make sure you leave the charter happy.

What is done with the fish?

You can ask the crew to prepare a ceviche for you on board with your fishing, also if you catch a lot of fish you can take it or share it with the crew.

Is there a taxidermy option?

Yes, if that is your intention, let the captain know immediately so he can contact the company that is in charge of this.

What does the fishing trip include?

Private crew charter, fishing tackles, ice and bait, fishing licenses, port fees and passengers’ liability insurance.

What is the bathroom situation?

The majority of our boats have clean and operational bathrooms onboard.

What do we need to bring?

Clients are allowed to bring any food and drink they would like for their charter but in our charter some courtesy are included (ask about it for more details). We also recommend bringing sunblock, hats, sunglasses and comfortable clothes.

What is the customary gratuity for a fishing charter?

Customary gratuity for a hardworking crew is 15-20%.

Do we need fishing licenses?

They are included and we’ll get them from the permit office for you. Every person aboard when a charter is going fishing needs a permit. We need the first/last name of everyone aboard for the permits. Sightseeing tours don’t require any kind of permit at all.

What is the best way to avoid seasickness?

Avoid arriving at the boat hungover. If you have a tendency to get seasick please look into different seasickness medications or devised prior to the fishing charter.

What is the cost?

Do I need to bring a cooler?

No. Coolers and ice is provided as part of your charter.

Which are your Cancellation Policies?

1. Confirmed Bookings Within 15 days of the Trip Due Date: Cancellation prior 15 days notice does not Apply any Penalty Charge; 72 to 24 hrs Cancellation Notice apply a 50% of the Total Charter Cost (TCC) and a 24 hrs Notice Cancellation or “No Show” apply a 100% of the TCC and no refund will be issued, unless Extraordinary Circumstances are the reason causing the Cancellation, them will be determined valid under the criteria of BIP Yacht Charters based on, the General Rule among Nautical Tourism Service Providers. 2. 15 Days to 12 Month Before the Trip Due Date Confirmed Bookings: Prior 20 Days Cancellation Notice of the Due Date a Penalty Charge Percentage of the TCC apply according to the following scheme: 20% for Fishing Boats, Fishing Yachts, Sailboats and Catamarans, 15% for Cruiser Yachts and 10% for Sport-Flybridge and Luxury Yachts to Cover Managing Expenses and Preventing Availability of Vessel. Cancellation within 3. Holiday & Selected Dates: There will be no refunds for cancellations during long weekends, special holidays, Easter week, and, from December 22nd through January 7th.

Will you clean the fish for me?

Upon returning back to the dock the crew will happily filet and clean your catch for you to take to a restaurant or to cook yourself.

Can we keep the fish we catch?

On all of our fishing charters, guests can keep the fishes they catch. But There are certain species of fish you can release per fish conservation.

Can we take our fish back to the U.S.?

Yes you can. It goes on the plane with you in a cooler and must be frozen. Duct tape is a must after customs inspects inside at the airport. Please check with your airline for extra fees and weight.

Whats the earliest we can departure?

The departure schedule during this raining season (from May to October) are subject to visibility of sea at dawn, at sunrise, the distance to the meeting point for boarding and the type of charter requested (4, 6, 8hrs, …). This is due to the high risk that some of the boats will be damaged by colliding with non-visible floating objects, that are dragged downriver towards the sea during constant or heavy rains, and that are the cause of many of the absences of arrival of the ships, delays or re-schedule of departure of the trips. Clients, travel agents, as well as concierges, have to keep in mind that communication between us is essential in the early hours of the day, otherwise the client must be provided with a contact telephone number of some of the members of our operational personnel in charge of boarding and dispatching the trip or vice versa. A reservation agent will inform the best departure time for your trip in each case.

How many people can come along?

Depend the boat you chose ask for the maximum capacity (adults and/or children).
